Hello!
I’m super hyped for getting this book finished. I really feel I’ve turned a corner and I’m running to the end! It’s going to take some editing, but my hope is to have it out by July at the latest. (I hope I’m not jinxing it!)

I’m super into audio books after years of saying they’re not for me. I’m currently listening to Beautiful & Terrible things by Riley Hart. It’s a real tissue job this one, a real heart wrencher, but is exactly as the title says. I listen while I walk my Oz dog and people must wonder what my gasps are for, or my smiles.
Something else I’m starting to do as I hear songs is make up some playlists for the books. I’ve set aside one of my many note books, and as I hear a song, and think oh this is definitely when that happens, I add it to list under that book. I write quite emotional books so there’s a lot of ballad types, but also Spencer likes a few old 80’s tunes, so I’m adding them in too. If you think of a song that might work, I’d love to know. I’m always open to knew writing songs.

Except from Spencer’s POV – Just before the reunion…
Julian and Joe had just arrived and greetings were in full flow between Peter, Lover, and Kendal. I waited at the door until things settled and then when Joe spotted me I smiled and headed straight over and kissed him before hugging him tightly.
“At fucking last! I feel like this has taken forever. How you doing?” I pulled away to look at him. He looked edgy, but smiled and nodded.
“Yeah, okay. Nervous.” I gave his arm a squeeze as I looked over at Julian.
“Hey.” Julian leaned over and brushed a kiss across my cheek. We’d seen each other yesterday and played a little, so we’d already had time to catch up.
“How’s he been since yesterday?” I nodded.
“He’s good, sweet and slept like a baby. I was just about to wake him when I heard voices so thought I’d come and say a quick hi before the carnage.” I looked at Joe. “Did Daddio explain my part? I’m with you all the way bro but I gotta stay with Star, okay.” Joe nodded.
“Yeah, yes, of course. Hopefully there’ll be a moment to catch up later?” I nodded as Julian spoke.
“Absolutely, you two can get together later. Have you eaten yet this morning, Spence?” I shook my head as walked towards Lover. I swept my hand to his face and smiled.
“Morning Lover.” I kissed him softly before turning back to Julian and answering fully. “I thought I’d eat with Star, I usually do.” Peter leaned down and kissed my head.
“Morning Spencer.”
“Hey big man. Has Isaac gone home?” He nodded.
“Yeah, I dropped him early this morning.” Kendal swept in front of him and hugged me as she spoke.
“I’ll hold some food back for you both, as we’re going to make a start while you get him ready for the day.” I nodded to her, then looked at her with concern.
“Sure, thanks. You okay?” She squinted her face up.
“A little worried.” I nodded and brought her back in for another squeeze.
“It’s going to be tricky, but it’ll work out. I’ve got Star’s back. Talking of which, I need to get back to him.” She patted me as I stood, and she went back to the counter preparing breakfast. I looked around the room and smiled. “Can I just say, this is fucking A, having you here, and everyone altogether. It’s taken too fucking long, but I’m glad you made it, and I can’t wait to run around the house naked and get up to mischief with you!” There was that few seconds of absolute – could hear a pin drop – silence, before the room was filled with each person’s response.
Julian gave a soft “For god’s sake.”
Peter laughed and said “What he said, without the naked mischief.”
Joe smirked, shook his head and said. “Grief, Spence. Let me walk a bit first, yeah.”
Kendal chuckled and said. “I’ll be in my room for that one.” The one that stayed silent, I turned and winked at, and leaned in and whispered.
“You’re included, Lover.” He looked down and blushed as I turned away smiling. “I’ll be back. Not sure how long we’ll be, sometimes mornings are easy, sometimes they are slow going. If anything is up, I’ll text.” I spoke that last part to Julian as I headed out the door.
