Release Day!!!

Hello!!

It’s release day for Sweet and Sire!

I’ve had an amazing response from this book, not just for Jacob’s and Joe’s story, but for the whole of the Streetboys Series. That people love them, and get them, as much as me means so much!

I hope you love Sweet and Sire. I loved writing their story and it’s taken me a while, and I’ve been struggling with the reasons why, but I think I figured it out! There were so many scenes that I didn’t include in the book, that I wanted to write because I love to write all the moments in the lives of these characters, but the book was getting bigger and bigger, and I started to get anxiety over its length! I think it hindered me, and I think this book became disjointed in parts because of it, and also rushed through scenes in others where I would have written more. I have a particular way of writing that’s a little different to other authors. I liken it to not seeing the bigger picture – I don’t see the room as a whole (with all the description) – I see the smaller moment that’s happening in the room, and that’s what I write about. I’ve tried to write my stories different, and manage it sometimes, but it doesn’t work for me, so I accept I am who I am. Lol My mum called it awkward, I prefer artistic! (Hahaha)

Anyways! These characters tell me so much when I’m writing…or when I’ve just got into bed at night and I’m trying to sleep lol So, I’m going to not worry about length from now on, and if a book goes beyond what’s sensible – lol – I’ll split it into two. This might make it more affordable for some, maybe? I don’t know, maybe I’ll ask the question in my Facebook group. I don’t write for the money, and what I do make goes back into making the next book, so we’ll see.

I want Kellen and Mattie’s story to be whole and flow, and I think taking out the worry of length will help with that process. We’ll see how long it gets!

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for your support and love. It inspires me to write more. I’m hoping to get my little Basement Booty store open in the coming weeks. It won’t have books in it just yet, probably just the mugs – which are so damn pretty! – In case anyone fancies a little memento of the boys. I love my Streetboys mug!

I’ll update you all again when there’s more to share but thank you again for all your support and love for the characters I write.
