Author’s comments.

I love Jacob, he’s one of my favourite characters. He’s sweet and loving and has the looks of a model, but he doesn’t know it. He is so self-unaware, so unsure of who he is, and I think scared of who he is. He gets protection with Julian, and hides there, but at the same time he longs for more. Leo’s arrival at the house had a dramatic effect on Jacob, not least showing him that the world is not full of people wanting to hurt him. 

I’ve always had the feeling he was never where he was meant to be forever. Him and Julian needed each other, and have travelled a journey together, and there’ll always be a connection between them, not least because Julian branded him, which means he owns him in their world, but Julian is not where his heart belongs. I mean, he says it, and tries to tell me he doesn’t need anyone else…until Julian brings someone new into the house, then he’s all flushed and flustered. Let’s see where that goes lol 

History – Found half dead on the street at 17 by Julian, took him in on a feeling and whim. Looked after and educated until he was 18, then trained by Julian to be his personal plaything/slave.
