It’s been a while

Hello!

It’s been a while since I dropped in! Firstly, thank you for leaving comments and words in the guestbook, I love hearing that you love the boys as much as I do.

I’ve been so busy getting book 14 finished, edited and ready! It’s been to three Alpha readers and passed with wet tissues and some great feedback. As you can imagine, it’s emotional and some parts are heavy, but there’s some bits in there- mainly from Spence – to lighten it up.

The more I wrote in that last book, the more Joe and Jacob’s relationship kept pulling me. Their attraction was pretty instant when they met back in book 13, especially for Jacob, and even though Joe felt something on their first meeting, he was still in recovery from his addiction. They keep talking to me, so I may start their story. They are both kind and caring men, Joe’s learning his kinks and Jacob is shy about his, so I wonder how they’ll find their way when they’re ready? I think their relationship will be a lot more gentler than others in that world.

I have started working on a standalone story with some new people. It will be twincesty, and hopefully shorter than I usually write! Once they have their intro story, I have an idea to bring then into Jacob’s house, temporarily, just to bring the characters together, but that’s a while off yet.

I’ve also started work on Mattie and Kellen’s story, although that’s slow going as it intertwines with some of the Streetboys stories, and the short I wrote for the charity anthology, so it’s going to take some working on.

I generally don’t have lots of works in progress going on, as I like to concentrate on one story, but there were a lot of the boys talking to me, so I’ve started three of them and write the one that’s louder that day. I’ve also been editing and tidying up my very first story I ever wrote – Julian. My writing has improved over time, thankfully, but there’s something very basic about the way I wrote the Julian book, and I haven’t wanted to change it too much. So I’ve improved its grammar and some of its dialogue, but not really changed its style. I hope to have it to the proofreader as soon as Star Cluster book 14 is done.

Reading it over though, I can really see how much Julian has grown as a human being lol He was so distant in his book. You can also see how Jacob has matured and become less invisible, but he’s still got his journey ahead of him. Julian has kept him so sheltered, which I think gets forgotten. The book Julian, is currently unavailable while it goes through some editing, but I hope to have it back up before Star Cluster goes live!

Fun fact about the very first book Julian, and the last book of the Streetboys Series. I first published Julian on the 19th of July 2019, and Star Cluster will also go live on 19th Of July 2024. So exactly five years apart! Pure coincidence as it wasn’t noted when I set the date!

I’ve been listening to a fair few audio books of late. I’m doing a sponsored 1 million steps for Diabetes UK, which starts on the 1st of July, so have been listening to books while practicing and getting my steps in! It took me a while to get into listen to someone read to me, but I love it now. I can do all my housework and chores while listen to a story, it really helps pass the mundane tasks! It really matters who the narrators are though. I’ve had to leave a few stories as the narrators didn’t work, I’ll keep trying them, as I hate to leave stories unread.

Recent listens are –

Open Play by Luna David and Morningstar Ashley

The weight of it all by N.R.Walker – this was so funny!!

Addiction by Vivian wood

Crossroads by Riley hart

Lucky by Garrett Leigh

Without You by Marley Valentine

Blue Moon by A.E. Via

Goodbye Paradise by Sarah Bowen – escape from a cult. I found this heart wrenching as you could really feel his empty life he’d had. HEA though.

To Catch a Firefly – by Emmy Sanders – really well narrated. They really brought the characters to life on this one.

Anyway, that’s all my news caught up for now. The link for the last Streetboys book should be up now, so please go ahead and preorder. Just make sure you have plenty of tissues, comfort blankets and sweet tea to help get you through come July!
